In the Gaza Strip, UNICEF and its partners are on the ground delivering immediate humanitarian support, including medical supplies, fuel as well as mental health and psychosocial supportLatest update (Jan 4 - 10th): "UNICEF has moved 308 trucks of supplies into the Gaza Strip from Egypt so far. Throughout the past week, seven trucks brought critical emergency supplies including: 10,800 Family Hygiene Kits for 1,200 families; water tanks and
collapsible tanks for 2,500 people; 577,500 sanitary pads; 69,960 bottles of Ready to Use Formula for 500 infants between for a period of 1 month; as well as various medical kits and supplementary foods for 55,000 people"

URGENT APPEAL

UNICEF requires $168.3 million for its response in the State of Palestine to sustain gender-responsive WASH, health, child protection and education services in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, and fund multipurpose cash assistance

UNRWA operates in five areas: Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including East Jerusalem; aid for Palestinian refugees outside these five areas is provided by United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.

PCRF is an non-government organisation founded in 1991 by concerned humanitarians in the USA, providing free medical care to thousands of injured and ill children yearly who lack local access to care within the local health care system

Offers medical services in the West Bank, Gaza, and Lebanon. Currently providing hospitals in Gaza with emergency medication and health-care supplies as they handle an influx of injured civilians

Motaz Hilal Azaiza is a Palestinian photojournalist from the Gaza Strip.
Azaiza was raised in the Deir al-Balah Camp in the Israeli-occupied Gaza Strip. He attended Al-Azhar University in Gaza, graduating in 2021 with a degree in English studies. He is currently employed by UNRWA. Currently posting story updates daily on ground in Gaza

Wael Al-Dahdouh is a Palestinian journalist and the bureau chief of Al Jazeera in Gaza City. Despite the death of many family members and multiple injuries, he quickly got back on his feet to reporting. His son was recently killed in an airstrike in Khan Younis on January 2024
